I have been looking through the viewfinder at the world around me for more than 30 years. I am fascinated by the way light can create an unforgettable image.

I took my first photo when I was 15. A high school teacher volunteered me for the yearbook team and handed me a worn Pentax camera. I didn’t know a thing about photography at the time, but I learned quickly. Gradually, my interest in capturing images of what I saw increased and eventually became a natural part of the way I look at the world around me.

From the shimmer of light through autumn leaves, to the dance of light across rippling water, and the serene calm of the reddish-orange rays of sunlight at dusk, there’s something magical about capturing the moment through a lens.

With every photo I try to preserve that moment to create an impression, evoke an emotion, spark a memory, or establish a mood. When it works well, the light imprisoned in the photo allows me to share that moment with others.

This site presents some of the photos I’ve taken over the years. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them.
